Freedom is here:
Freedom is here! We have now released our new billing and support system; which from now on will handle all billing,
support and other items related to your account.
This may not seem like a big deal to most of you, but if you were here at Smp behind the scenes you’d be amazed at how non-automated and lacking most of our software is.
We’ve been working hard on releasing a new client management system for a while now, one that gives more functionality and power to the both of us, and now its here!
So what does all this mean?

- Increased productivity favourite
- Quicker response times
- Easier accessibility
- Better functionality
- Greater features
So what’s new?
The Ticket System
As many of you will now be aware all support and sales requests are now imported into our new ticket system which enables us to better manage and respond to your requests.
You don’t have to login to your client area to submit a support ticket (though you can). From now on if you email us our system will import the email, just make sure you use the registered email on file with us otherwise it won’t appear in your ticket history! Once submitted you will be notified that your email has been received and at any time now or in the future you can login to your account to view past and present tickets.
For us it means that we can document and access your info and history easier; the result of which is that responses will be quicker.
Billing and Invoicing
These sections have not changed as dramatically for the end user; however there are a few new quirky features. The invoice has been slightly updated to include more information and the transaction details, we can now apply credit to accounts (which was a feature we desperately needed), and shortly you will be able to download invoices in a PDF format.
Product and Contact Details
You can now easily amend your personal details as well as add new contacts; for those of you that have multiple people managing your hosting account you can assign a contact for them individually. For instance you could set up you accounts department as a contact and have only the invoice emails sent to them.
The products and services section now have a few more details such as your resource usage, payment, package, and addon details. You can also view your control panel details and login via your billing account.
Domain Names
The new domain section allows you to completely manage all your domains details and configurations directly via your billing account (this only applies to customers who purchased or transferred their domains to us).
If you have any suggestions please do let us know and we will do our best to implement them.
All the best for 2009!
